We’re not your average coffee entrepreneurs. We’re Army veterans, adventure seekers, animal lovers, snowboarders, ice climbers, and all-around fun people who have a passion for great coffee and even better stories. Every cup we brew comes with a side of grit, heart, and a touch of adventure.
Our coffee journey began back in 2005 with a cozy brick-and-mortar café in a bustling Vermont ski area. It was the perfect spot for caffeine-craving skiers and snowboarders, but roasting our own beans? That was still just a dream at the time. Then, a serendipitous trip to a trade show in Seattle—and an epic night of dancing to K.C. and the Sunshine Band—introduced us to the roaster of our dreams. With that, we elevated our coffee game and thrived.
But life isn’t always smooth like a perfectly frothed latte. In 2007, we hit a rough patch, and by 2009, an Army deployment meant it was time to close the café doors and regroup.
Fast forward to 2014. Fueled by determination, a love for coffee, and a freshly crafted business plan, we spent a year saving every penny and hunting for the perfect food truck. When we found it, we worked tirelessly to transform it into a mobile espresso bar. Six weeks later, we were back in business, bringing artisan coffee to the masses—one espresso shot at a time.
Then came 2020 (we know, gah). On the first Monday of March, we purchased a sample roaster with big dreams of honing our craft and launching retail and wholesale operations. While the world seemed to grind to a halt, we kept pushing forward. By the end of that year, we’d signed a lease and started building out our new coffee roasting facility.
From the slopes of Vermont to the streets in our little coffee truck, our journey has been nothing short of a wild ride. Through it all, our mission has stayed the same: to source, roast, and serve coffee with pride and a whole lot of love.
